Dr. Mombazo is a group of musicians from Seattle who have been recording together for the last 20 years. Their original music is an amalgamation of rock, funk, jazz, electronica, down tempo, and various other ethnic influences. Some have described their music as "acid jazz meets ethnic funk".
The band consists of Craig Rosenberg on drums and percussion, Michael Crouse on bass guitar, Sean Lahay on keyboards, Glen Lynskey and Colin Higgins on electric guitar, Alex Wurmbrand on violin and rhythm guitar, E.J. Erickson on Sax, and Bill Currie on keyboards and electric violin. For the last several years they have been focusing their talents on recording both studio and live albums and producing music for film and video.
